Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust specializes in providing young people with engaging hands-on experiences that will open their eyes, hearts and minds to science and discovery through the wonders of the natural world. From structured classroom field trip that bring NGSS-based science curriculum to life, to our traditional seasonal visits for all-ages groups, we provide an array of opportunities for schools and communities to appreciate, learn about and engage in nature!
Our caring team of experienced educators employ creative teaching techniques, sensory experiences, student feedback and empowered learning approaches to assist teachers to enhance their science curriculum. Youth are often invited to touch, feel, listen and think critically about what they are observing and how their learning fits into larger understandings of ecosystems, science and their evolving understanding of the world we live in.
